Oil painting. Done in freehand. Abstract red lips painted in an angular fashion. Abstract blue paint splash almost X on the lips. All freehand - no rework. Painting is called the blue kiss in Spanish. It is meant to represent the splash or explosion from a kiss. Just one kiss marked on canvas. I did not begin with a pencil sketch as I usually do and or pen ink. It is first layer of a calm beige meant to be the stretch of skin tone creating the illusion that the canvas is in fact representative of the face but all one sees is the imprint of an abstract kiss. shop
