This is a Norwegian Hardanger white-on-white embroidered runner for your winter table. It has a kind of Thanksgiving or Christmasy feel to it because of the similarity to snowflake motifs.
The fabric is embroidered and then cut out in certain areas of the design.
Colors may vary on different computer screens!
White on white.
Vintage Condition - Very good! There are some very light small stains and a shop tiny hole at the turn back as shown in Photos #9 and #10.
i”m not really sure which is the right side because the embroidery is so good on both sides. So I've shown both sides of the runner in Photos #7 and #8.
One side has some slight stencil work (as shown in Photo #10) where it looks like they were going to stitch more embroidery but never got to it.
Fabric is vintage and may have been used for items unknown.
Vintage is rarely perfect and some small flaws may go unnoticed. I have included every detail as accurately as possible.
