Fines examples of vintage Continental porcelain of soldiers, one with a flag, the other with a drum. The figures are beautifully moulded with attention to details of a military uniform, legs and hands, hats and faces shop. They are hand painted in elegant blue, red and green colours, and epaulettes and details are highlighted in liquid gold. On the bottom each figure has the mark of the manufacturer in blue, the letter 'N' with the royal crown on top, and a description of the regiment in German and the date 1804 for the figure with the drum and 1845 for the figure with the flag.
Both figurines are in very good condition although they could be from the 50s or 70s. The colours are bright but the officer holding the flag seems to have lost a little bit from several of his fingers, which takes nothing away from the quality and charm of this porcelain piece.
Add these glamorous figurines to your military collection or make an unforgettable gift to someone special.
