Kirks Folly Mermaid Star Fish Sea Trinket Box Jewelry MIB I've had this one for many years - I don't actually recall the year of issue - starting to let go of my old school Kirks Folly items one by one. This is one of my favorite pieces - The sparkling mermaid is sitting atop a rhinestone encrusted octopus. She's holding her wand in one hand and 3 angel fish in the other (might be Tangs?). Her hair is covered with golden pixie dust. Her spread wings in the backside are a pale green with again a sprinkling of pixie dust. She's a high polished gold plate. Inside the trinket box you can stash away all your secret lovers notes. It is an aqua enamel bottom and outsides with dolphins, seahorses starfish and seashells. The base without the lid measures 4.25" across tip to tip. This lovely creature measures 4" tall sitting shop on the base. Now for the box. It is NOT pristine. Lots of shelf wear and some slightly squashed corners but it is the original box.
