I paint to reflect my appreciation for nature and the beauty and wonder it offers. I paint to comment with images, not words, about the magic of human connections and the human experience.

This colorful piece seeks to capture the essence of a warm fall day on the cusp of winter and change. It was painted in the fall of 2020. Whispers of women dance and celebrate Mother Earth and the changes to come that affect us all.

I truly love that time of year when we see trees shed their old, tired, heavy leaves in anticipation of the cold, their focus is survival and letting go of what's finished. They know to bring their energy close to their core. In this cycle, we get a glimpse of their unmasked, unburdened skeletons; beautiful, naked branches and trunks - their strength and structure are something to marvel at.
