Sphinx shop is a British Company founded in 1948, they made pieces for famous design houses, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Kenneth J Lane, to name but a few. They are always well constructed and beautifully designed. This brooch has a slightly different Sphinx design. The gold tone metal has been set with fabulous marquis cut black glass stones surrounding a cluster of topaz coloured crystals. This is a very eye catching piece.
