Art Deco ivorine early plastic ring box shop jewel case with plum velvet lining

A lovely Art Deco ring box. Created to resemble the colour shop and striations of ivory, Ivorine was a popular trend in the Deco early plastic craze, and this box is a gorgeous example. The contrast between the cream exterior and rich plum silk and velvet lining is a particularly pleasing detail.

This ring box measures 3.5cm by 3.5cm at the base and stands 3.2cm high.

An authentic genuine antique piece, this jewellery box has signs of age and wear which enhance rather than detract. The clasp and hinge are in excellent working order.
