Orange snake eye on vintage gold brooch // glass eye brooch // glass shop eye jewelry // taxidermy eye pin // snake eye jewelry // glass eye pin
An orange glass eye, that is normally used for taxidermy snakes, is added to a circa 1950's gold plated cocktail brooch. It is a large pin, measuring 2 inches and stands out at 1.25 inches. The half inch, poppy-orange glass snake eye has been added to this three dimensional brooch. The snake eye is hand painted glass. The eye color is a bright orange-red with black slit pupil and lighter orange flecks. The safety-clasp pin on back measures 1.5 inches. The original brooch is by a high end costume jeweler at the time, Sarah Coventry.
